Title of Position: Event Design Manager


Compensation: $75k to $85k


Job Description: As the Event Design Manager for our company, you will handle both social and group bookings. This position will work closely with clients through the event process from start to finish. The Event Design Manager will finalize all the details of their event and will coordinate with the appropriate departments in the hotel to make the event a success. The Event Design Manager is responsible for taking charge and problem solving independently when needed, this includes directing and managing a group to reach a common goal. Other key responsibilities for the Event Design Manager include meeting and exceeding event revenue goals, guest relations and handling group billing. The Event Design Manager may be expected to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The Event Design Manager will coordinate with vendors for proper execution of events.

Qualifications: 

 

·        The Event Design Manager must be a high school graduate with some college preferred.

·        The Event Design Manager must have 2 years of experience as a Conference or Catering Manager in a hotel with a conference setting.

·        The Event Design Manager must be able to set up banquet event orders daily with diagrams as needed.

·        Strong catering experience and excellent leadership skills is a requirement for the Event Design Manager 

·        The Event Design Manager will be able to develop client menus and set up events as the client requires. 

·        The Event Design Manager must have prior knowledge of proper breakdown of event spaces, staffing, and B.E.O. requirements.
