Job Description:


As the pivotal Hotel Chief Engineer, your role revolves around upholding and managing our hotel's physical infrastructure and systems. Leading a team of proficient technicians, you'll ensure the property remains well-maintained, secure, and operates seamlessly. This opportunity allows you to showcase your engineering prowess and contribute significantly to our hotel's success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and guide the maintenance department, including technicians and subcontractors.
  • Manage maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Develop proactive maintenance programs to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and standards.
  • Optimize energy consumption and minimize costs through utility monitoring.
  • Conduct regular inspections to address maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Collaborate with departments to uphold operational continuity and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain meticulous records of maintenance activities, expenditures, and inventory.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers to procure essential materials and services.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hotel engineering.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for the maintenance department.


Requirements:


  • Proven track record as a Chief Engineer or in a similar leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong leadership qualities and adept at team management.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with impeccable organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous.
