Responsibilities

  • Work with ownership to track financial objectives; prepare strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; establishing and monitoring financial controls: developing and implementing strategies to increase food sales
  • Provide strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Maintain a positive, fun work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to developing and sustaining positive relationships with guests, staff and ownership
  • Refine operations by preparing policies, protocols and standard operating procedures
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Hire, train, motivate, and provide on-going communication to staff to build and maintain a team that has fun and strives to provide outstanding guest experience
  • Assess staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Effectively schedule associates to meet sales volume demands
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations and staff training/certifications
  • Work five days per week, including nights, weekends and some holidays

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager
  • Minimum of five years’ experience required
  • Minimum of five years of high-volume restaurant experience required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience executing on high volume buffet or banquet service
  • Must be dependable, reliable and motivated
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions
  • Ability to multitask, follow through and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
  • Takes initiative with projects and tasks
  • Must possess strong leadership, motivational, communication and people skills to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing/walking
  • Have the ability to lift materials and/or product up to 50 pounds or more
  • Must be passionate about the industry and enjoys an extremely fast paced environment
  • Familiarity with Toast, Excel, Quickbooks, and Google Drive strongly preferred
