Title of Position: Director of Sales/ Assistant General Manager 

Job Responsibilities: Our DOS/AGM will professionally sell the products and services of the hotel, specifically selling guest rooms during the low and slower seasons. The DOS/AGM is responsible for managing and motivating all front office personnel to include hiring, supervision, training, communicating objectives for the day, disciplining, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction. This position also checks and controls room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, forecasting and department budget to maximize revenue. This position will also communicate with guests and team members both verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide clear direction in advising and instructing staff in details of work. This person will organize, conduct and/or attend meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information. The DOS/AGM will also prepare sales reports and records sales calls and activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • The DOS/AGM must have at least one year of Hotel Front Desk experience
  • Our DOS/AGM must participate in industry and civic organizations to promote business opportunities, as well as track activities of the competition and the market
  • The DOS/AGM must be a strong communicator, as he/she will be monitoring guest satisfaction, and leading a team of hotel staff daily
  • The DOS/AGM must follow company credit and deposit policies on a daily basis
