To support our growth and maintain our commitment to excellence, we are seeking an experienced Area Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of our properties in the St. Louis area.


Position Overview

The Area Director of Finance will be critical in our leadership team, providing strategic financial oversight and direction across all three properties. This individual will be responsible for ensuring each hotel's financial health and performance, driving financial planning, overseeing budget management, and implementing robust financial controls. The role demands a proactive approach to financial management, emphasizing analysis, forecasting, and proactive risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability across all properties.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis efforts, providing insight and recommendations to the executive team on financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk management.
  • Manage cash flow, investment, and capital expenditure decisions, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with each hotel’s management team to improve financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices in financial management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Uphold the company’s financial policies and procedures, ensuring a strong internal control environment that protects the company’s assets and mitigates risk.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, cultivating a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to influence and engage diverse teams and drive results in a complex, multi-site operation.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
