Job Title: Assistant Director of IT
Type: Full-time
Location: Resort, Sedona, AZ
Salary: $85,000-$90,000

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in computer science, or equivalent work-related experience.
- A minimum of five years’ computer hardware and software experience. Prior experience in a hotel/resort is highly preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP), CompTIA A , Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security, MS fundamentals – cloud computing, Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11, ITIL fundamentals, CCSP, or PMP are a plus.
- Proficient in MS 365, VMWARE, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows 11, and software applications such as Microsoft Office, POS systems, Time Clocks, Hotel systems, Payroll, etc.
- Skillful in Networking infrastructure – VPN, WAN / LAN and Wireless, encryption, etc.
- Understanding of IT best practices in IT Service Management (ITIL), IT security, and governance (PCI-DSS / NIST).
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to convey complex IT concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Proven leadership skills with experience guiding and motivating teams.
Job Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Director of IT at our resort, you will:
- Assist in managing and overseeing all IT operations and services across the resort.
- Work closely with the Information Technology Director in planning, scheduling, and coordinating department activities.
- Oversee the integration of major departmental functions including customer support, IT platform support, and vendor management.
- Contribute to software/hardware acquisition activities, including contract negotiations and cost calculations.
- Drive continuous modernization and improvement of the application portfolio and infrastructure environment.
- Be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of service improvement plans for the department.
- Assist in planning and developing vendor management and accountability by developing standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Lead efforts to evaluate skills and staffing levels needed to enable IT to meet future needs.
- Ensure any IT tool adoption is evaluated across all IT resorts and IT Home Office, ensuring the full potential of technology investments.
- Prepare and deliver IT communications on IT service issues and projects.
- Maintain reliable remote accessibility to provide continuity of IT coverage remotely during operations/emergency when necessary.
Please note that as the Assistant Director of IT at the resort, the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to ensure coverage during operational hours is necessary.
