Title of Position: Assistant Kitchen Manager

Job Description: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for all back of the house functions and functions of the culinary team. Our Kitchen Manager will also possess the ability to fill in for the Restaurant Manager as far as maintaining the front of the house on occasion. Strong leadership and coaching skills are necessary to be a successful Kitchen Manager. Working alongside the management team the Kitchen Manager will focus on increasing sales, building strong relationships with guests as well as staff and ensure food quality and consistency. Together with the General Manager our Kitchen Manager will train and develop excelling staff members to their fullest potential so as to progress with us in the future. The Kitchen Manager ensures that all areas of the BOH are clean and maintained as well as all food preparation surfaces are kept sanitary according to company and state standards.

Qualifications:

  • The Assistant Kitchen Manager must have high volume restaurant management experience of at least 2 years
  • A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must for the Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • A solid track record in achieving financial results is a must for the Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • The Assistant Kitchen Manager must be extremely guest orientated with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
  • The Assistant Kitchen Manager should make themselves available to the restaurant at all times

Craig brings 27 years of restaurant operations experience to the table, ranging from family style to upscale dining. Craig has served on training, opening, menu & kitchen development teams for multiple concepts. Beginning as a server out of high school with Copper Cellar’s Calhoun’s, Craig worked his way to Kitchen Manager within three years. After relocating to South Carolina, Craig served as Kitchen Manager, General Manager and Corporate Chef of Café Enterprises Fatz Café. Craig acted as Steward of Greenville’s award winning City Range Steakhouse Grill for 5 years before being recruited to run a new upscale catering company, where he acted as both General Manager and Sous Chef. Following a move to Georgia with his family, Craig worked at Atlanta’s very own TacoMac- a high volume casual dining concept- where he served as Kitchen Manager, Manager and Corporate Trainer for over six years.
