We are now looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Nanaimo who will be responsible for maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, and focus. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of previous management experience in hospitality or 3 years management experience in a related industry with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must also have excellent comprehension of restaurant operational controls and financial statements with a proven record of training and developing teams.


As an Assistant Restaurant Manager in Nanaimo your day-to-day responsibilities will involve maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, ensuring all standards and policies are followed (as measured by Business & Brand Health Assessments & 3rd Party audits), initiating programs to support achievement & growth of top line sales (as measured by achievement & budget) & controlling costs (as measured by budget). You will also be responsible for coordinating ongoing recruitment, training & development of management & team members (as measured by strength of team & achievement), creating a positive working environment & maintaining open communication between staff members.


Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction through leadership, training and development, and focus

• Initiating programs to control costs (as measured by budget)

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-year previous management experience in hospitality or 3 years management experience in a related industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent comprehension of restaurant operational controls and financial statements

• A proven record of training and developing teams

• A demonstrated commitment to guest service

• Excellent management skills (organized, able to set priorities plan make decisions)

• Excellent leadership skills (demonstrated ability to cause constructive change people motivator great communicator role model delegator)

• Demonstrated commitment to the values integrity involvement innovation

• Has previous experience with or has initiated programs that support positive team member relations
