Title of Position: Bakery Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Bakery manager is responsible for helping the General Manager with new seasonal offerings, training and managing bakery staff, ensuring daily and weekly execution, production planning, maintaining product inventory, ensuring quality control of baked goods, packaging, order fulfillment, maintaining clear and consistent communication with the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train and develop bakers and cafe team members and ensure excellent quality and consistency of new and existing offerings
• Prepare effective weekly and daily work schedules and directs the tasks of other team members
• Ensure efficiency, suggest processes and procedures improvements in the Bakery department
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise with production
• Ensure effective inventory management, including product handling, rotation, safe and proper warehousing
• Provide effective coaching and feedback to enhance team’s performance and drive true accountability
• Inspect the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used throughout bakery
• Maintain bakery cases while focusing on sanitation, cleanliness, and keeping correct temperature requirements
• Communicate with the General Manager on all bakery related issues
• Able to recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavors
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Serve as a role model to demonstrate mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Familiar with all food safety and general department safety training and can follow up and coach team members as needed
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
• Operate and maintain all department equipment and reports malfunctions

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership skills in accessing and developing talent are necessary for the Bakery Store Manager
• The ability to solve problems is required for the Bakery Store Manager
• The Bakery Store Manager should possess the ability to build and maintain guest satisfaction
• The Bakery Store Manager should have at least 3 years of Bakery/Cafe experience
