Now that construction has completed, we are one of the premier restaurants in the Los Angeles area, featuring walk in wine room, dry ageing meat lockers, multiple bars, and extensive special event and banquet rooms. We are looking for a superstar Banquet Chef to make their mark, and provide culinary leadership to our banquet facility. With a modern and elegant, yet cozy, environment, we want to create an atmosphere where guests can relax and enjoy themselves.
Title of Position: Banquet Chef
Job Description: Our Banquet Chef needs to be extremely motivated, hardworking, energetic, experienced and fully capable of leading a group of culinary experts. The Banquet Chef is generally in charge of food production. He/she also supports the Executive Chef by completing projects as directed. We are looking for Banquet Chef who has a solid knowledge of food and is creative and willing to explore new styles and cuisines. This Banquet Chef will engage and direct in food preparation, portioning, cooking and plating with consistent food quality and presentation. Responsibilities of this Banquet Chef position also include assisting in the management of food costs and production control to reduce waste, participate in controlling operating and labor costs, and practice proper sanitation standards. The Banquet Chef must obtain a strong passion for the hospitality industry and work every single shift to ensure an exceptional dining experience. The Banquet Chef in this position must set the bar high to create the finest dishes and uphold food safety guidelines. Food and labor costs, along with building sales and guest counts will be a huge portion of the job description for the Banquet Chef.

- Minimum of 6+ Years current Executive Banquet Chef (or Executive Chef) experience
- Sales volume experience; must have Chef experience at venues with at least $6m per year annual sales related to special events
- Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Prior experience with working multiple events going on at the same time
- Culinary leadership at a property with a minimum 4 star rating preferred
- Familiar with an environment with multiple outlets (i.e. VIP area, restaurant, banquet facility, bar/lounge/patio, etc.)
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Banquet Chef candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)
