Catering & Events – Raleigh-Durham, NC
Salary $40,000 - $50,000
Summary of Position:
The Bar Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day duties of operating and maintain the bar
program for a high-volume Catering & Events Company in the Triangle area. Duties also include
management of the staff training program, execution of training sessions, updating of training materials,
ensuring all events are properly staffed with bar staffing.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Weekly inventory of all liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, mixers, garnish
• Participate in and contribute to weekly Food & Beverage and Production meetings
• Weekly ordering of all alcohol products, all beer, wine, liquor from appropriate vendors (inclusive of
garnish, equipment, etc.)
• Receiving all alcohol orders on each week at venues as well as pick-up of liquor order for venues
(Delivery days vary based on particular vendors)
• Weekly organization of products at venues
• Maintain knowledge of all company bar services, menus, resources and hours of operation.
• Maintain knowledge of required company programs
• Assist in execution of events in high volume event periods such as but not limited wedding seasons,
holidays, reunions, homecoming, graduation, etc.
Qualifications
• Prior experience working in a restaurant, catering company, or other F&B Program
• Prior experience as a bartender.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of beer, wine, craft cocktails, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
• Very strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge & ability to train, manage, and counsel staff
• Assertive, outgoing, and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality
• Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Adele is married with two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her kids play sports on the weekends, and cooking with her husband.
