Title of Position: Catering Sales Manager
Job Description: The Catering Sales Manager should have extensive knowledge of hotel catering sales in a variety of market segments including, new business development, account management, space utilization and maximization, menu development, wine and beverage sales and a history of upselling success. Catering Sales Manager must have a history of creating a culture where both guests and associates feel valued and appreciated. The Catering Sales Manager will solicit, book, plan and coordinate meetings/functions while maximizing the banquet space to meet/exceed sales goals. This position is responsible for finalizing group business, recommending program and procedural changes, negotiating and booking new and repeat business while maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goals. The Catering Sales Manager will need to execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture the maximum amount of revenue and meet/exceed sales goals. Complete the contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, and resolve any issues, complaints and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction. The Catering Sales Manager will prepare status and period end reports to keep management abreast of activities as well as maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate/hotel procedures and products and the competition's product, strengths and weaknesses to continually improve sales strategies and the achievement of goals. The Catering Sales Manager will participate in professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales as well as perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

- The Catering Sales Manager must have 2 or more years’ experience in Hotel Sales and Catering
- A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must for the Catering Sales Manager
- A solid track record in achieving financial results is a must for the Catering Sales Manager
- The Catering Sales Manager must possess communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and/or hotel guests as well as the ability to drive to outside sales calls.
