Title of Position – Chef, Kitchen Manager

Job Description: The Chef, Kitchen Manager is responsible for all kitchen functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness. The Chef, Kitchen Manager is responsible for the training of employees in connection with purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness. One of the biggest challenges for a Kitchen Manager is controlling food cost and usage. The right candidate will be able to follow proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures including checking and maintaining proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.

Qualifications:

  •  The Chef, Kitchen Manager should always be able to provide consistent support to the success of the operation
  •  Trust, honesty, integrity and a true passion for customer satisfaction is a requirement for the Chef, Kitchen Manager
  •  The Chef, Kitchen Manager must be proficient in achieving solid financial results
  •  A true desire to mentor and develop others is a trait the Chef, Kitchen Manager must posses
  •  High-volume experience of 3+ years as a Chef or Kitchen Manager is a must for this position
