Position: Chef de Cuisine
Position Overview
As our Chef de Cuisine, you will be the culinary leader responsible for ensuring our offerings consistently exceed guest expectations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining impeccable food quality in line with our brand standards. You will curate par levels for ordering, manage inventory with an unwavering eye for ingredient excellence, and ensure every dish reflects a dedication to quality. Leading Back of House operations to meet established targets will be your domain, along with fostering a culture of excellence by hiring, training, and retaining a team of hospitality-driven A-players.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in comparable/casual upscale restaurants or scratch kitchens
- High proficiency with cooking appliances and advanced culinary techniques
- In-depth knowledge of par levels, best ordering practices, and effective inventory management with a strong focus on ingredient quality
- Basic understanding of financial implications, including P&L, COGs, labor, and operational excellence
- Intuitive understanding of restaurant service and extensive food knowledge
- State-required food safety certifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and planning skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a clear vision, active listening skills, assertive communication, and empathetic responsiveness
- A strong internal drive to achieve success, dedicated to delivering high-quality work
