Position Title: Corporate Director of Retail Development and Strategy
Position Summary:
The Corporate Director of Retail Development and Strategy will spearhead the advancement and implementation of our retail and product development initiatives. This pivotal role is tasked with innovating and delivering distinctive products that enhance the customer experience and amplify revenue. The successful candidate will mastermind the entire merchandise lifecycle, from ideation to market, and drive sales across both digital and physical realms. Key responsibilities include steering marketing efforts, refining e-commerce tactics, and adeptly managing financials and stock.
Core Responsibilities:
·      Architect and implement comprehensive retail strategies across all channels to bolster sales and profitability, aligning with the company’s vision and objectives.
·      Initiate and guide the creation of exclusive company merchandise, from festival gear to collectibles, ensuring coherence with our unique theme and ambiance.
·      Develop a robust merchandise strategy that mirrors the brand’s identity and resonates with our audience.
·      Provide exceptional leadership to unify and advance the retail team towards collective success.
·      Foster collaboration with departments such as marketing, design, and operations to uncover product opportunities and successfully launch them.
·      Oversee and enhance the customer experience in pop-up shops at various events, maintaining company standard of engagement and allure.
·      Deploy creative marketing and promotional tactics to captivate customers and boost sales.
·      Utilize sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
·      Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry leaders to elevate brand presence and access broader markets.
·      Manage the entire product development cycle, from brainstorming and design to sourcing and production.
·      Lead the assembly of merchandise collections, ensuring a diverse range of appealing items.
·      Fine-tune our online merchandising strategy to optimize visibility and sales on our digital platform.
·      Cultivate relationships with external partners to secure exclusive merchandise collaborations.
·      Consistently embody company service excellence standards.
Qualifications:
·      Agile and innovative mindset, comfortable in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
·      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related fields.
·      Over 10 years of experience in merchandising or product development, with a solid track record in enhancing revenue.
·      Expertise in retail management and merchandising, preferably with theme parks & festivals.
·      Creative flair and design acumen, capable of transforming ideas into commercial successes.
·      Experience in managing pop-up retail experiences and implementing effective online merchandising strategies.
·      A fervent passion for the entertainment and theme park sector, with insightful knowledge of consumer trends and preferences.
·      Comprehensive understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
·      Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
·      Outstanding leadership and communication skills, able to inspire cross-functional teams and influence at every level.
·      Ability to juggle multiple projects in a high-energy environment.
·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with familiarity with merchandising software and e-commerce platforms.

Hammons. These properties ranged from 105 to 1229 rooms located at airports, in the suburb and prestigious downtown locations with 4500-105,000 square feet of meeting space.
On many occasions, Mr. Bush has been recognized for his leadership accomplishments with sustainability while in Houston and volunteering with the Salvation Army, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Taping for the Blind and Helping a Hero Foundation.
Mr. Bush has been married to his wife Debra for 24 years and has two beautiful girls Xaja & Saxja. Jay is a die hard Oregon Duck fan as he grew up in Eugene and latched on to the Dallas Cowboys at an early age. He attended both Washington State University and the University of Oregon.
