To take our restaurant to the next level, we are searching for a Corporate Chef / Culinary Director who can modernize our kitchen and implement systems to further improve our location.
Position: Corporate Chef / Culinary Director
Job Description: Our Corporate Chef / Culinary Director will oversee all Back of the House Operations at our restaurants. The individual in this Corporate Chef / Culinary Director role should have a strong background with specs, procedures, and system implementation as this person will e responsible for implementing systems into our Back of the House. This Corporate Chef / Culinary Director candidate should have experience growing a concept and be able to lead our Back of the House teams through a growth period. This person will have a chance to make strategic menu improvements over time. The Corporate Chef / Culinary Director will ensure all food standards are upheld and proper recipe and plate presentation is 100%. This person will oversee the costing of recipes, development of flavor profiles, and execution of Manager training. He/she will make sure our restaurants are in compliance with local, state, and federal health safety laws. The Corporate Chef / Culinary Director will act as the expert for all culinary services and make recommendations for enhancing our culinary strategy. As a key member of a rapidly expanding restaurant group, the Corporate Chef / Culinary Director must be able to engage with all levels, inspire teams, and promote results.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of current Multi Unit Chef, Regional Kitchen Manager or Corporate Restaurant Chef experience
- Must have strong Chinese cooking experience to be considered for this role
- Bi-Lingual in Cantonese or Chinese is strongly preferred
- Outstanding culinary knowledge and ability to teach skills to subordinates
- Strong track record of developing, implementing, and maintaining recipes and food consistency
- Thorough knowledge of Food and Beverage costs, labor costs, and product cost management
- Ability to provide leadership and training for our Back of the House Managers
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Background in developing cost conscious recipes and menus
- Culinary Degree a plus
