Location: Carlsbad, California, 92008 - Primarily Remote Out in Field and Home Office

Salary: Up to $120,000 per annum, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package

Job Description:


We are a fast-growing fast-casual restaurant group based in Carlsbad, California, currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Catering. This role involves implementing and managing catering systems at a unit level across various locations. This is a new department head role and are looking for someone to spearhead the department It is a predominantly remote role and out in the field, with about 10% of work performed in our Carlsbad office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in catering, excellent managerial skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement catering systems and processes across all units, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service

Collaborate with unit managers to ensure efficient execution of catering orders

Oversee the development and management of catering menus, taking into account customer preferences and dietary restrictions

Manage and coordinate logistics for catering orders, including delivery schedules and staff assignments

Develop and implement training programs for catering staff

Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies for expanding the catering business

Conduct regular reviews of catering operations to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes

Qualifications:


Minimum of 7 years of experience in catering management, preferably in the fast-casual restaurant sector

Strong understanding of catering operations, including food and labor cost controls

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to handle customer complaints professionally

Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the catering industry

Ability to work remotely and travel to various locations as required

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
