Director Of Sales
Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Sales for our limited-service branded hotel in Windsor, Connecticut. We are looking for a self-motivated Director of Sales with strong leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with both new and existing clients. Our Director of Sales will play a key role in the development of new business nurture and client relationships. Our Director of Sales will be driven to get involved in the community to further the goals of the hotel and to create lasting relationships that secure the property’s long-term positioning.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage in direct sales and business development tactics to increase top-line revenue and achieve budgeted revenue numbers, RevPAR, and market share goals.
- Work with the management team in developing and executing sales strategies.
- Assist with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
- Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Reach and exceed department booking goals.
- Initiate and participate in client calls to acquire and close new business.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked.
- Analyze market information and implement strategies to achieve property goals.
- Execute all catering activities from negotiating with clients regarding food and beverage pricing, function space, room rates, and hotel services to presenting the bill and ensuring payment.
- Negotiate, plan, detail, and finalize contracts and BEOs with clients.
- Ensure all checks, payments, folios, and advanced deposits are submitted to the appropriate departments.
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback and review guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of hotel sales management experience
- Ability to manage multiple sales activities simultaneously while maintaining communication to inform key stakeholders of progress.
- Demonstrated excellence in communications, problem-solving skills, and process improvement.
- Associate degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor’s degree, a plus
- Proven lead-generation and closing skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
