Title of Position: Director of Operations
Job Description: Making certain all budget and financial projections are achieved, recruiting and retaining top quality management candidates, developing continuous training and development systems to enhance staff performance and delivery of customer service and ensure that appropriate staffing levels are achieved are some of the things we want our Director of Operations to oversee. The Director of Operations will also supervise procedures for the control of cash, property, product and equipment and conduct audits to guarantee compliance with labor and safety regulations. The Director of Operations will act as a liaison between corporate and franchisees making certain all franchise restaurants preserve the standards of operation established by the corporate office.

- The Director of Operations must have proven performance in growing sales, training and developing employees and controlling costs
- The Director of Operations must have a minimum of 3 years’ Multi-Unit Management experience
- A solid track record in achieving financial results is a must for the Director of Operations
- The Director of Operations must be extremely guest oriented with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
- The Director of Operations must have excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills

Betty has been rich history in recruiting for, not only hospitality to include restaurants and hotels, but retail, healthcare, distribution and the financial industries.
Betty’s undergraduate degree is from James Madison University -B.S. in Physical Education, Sports Management and her graduate degree is from American University -M.S. in Human Resource Management.
Betty has been involved in the Restaurant Industry since she was a young child, helping her grandparent’s with their country store and restaurant. While Betty was in college, she worked in the Campus Dining Hall as a line server and at Golden Corral, also has a line server. Prior to joining Gecko Hospitality, Betty was a Regional Management Recruiter for Carlson Restaurant Worldwide Inc. -TGI Fridays. Betty loves the excitement associated with the ever-changing hospitality industry.
Betty, her husband, 2 dogs – Barley and Tip, and 2 birds – Grey Bird and Yellow Bird, live on 4.5 acres on Buggs Island/Kerr Lake. When Betty is not recruiting, she enjoys cooking, gardening, entertaining, and boating with her husband.
