Director of Procurement

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to oversee all sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities for our rapidly growing foodservice organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of food procurement, vendor negotiations, and supply chain optimization to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet operational and financial objectives.
- Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize costs and secure favorable agreements.
- Oversee inventory management and supply chain logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations across all locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, analyze purchasing trends, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, certifications, and company standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals and enhance overall performance.
- Prepare and manage budgets, track KPIs, and present performance reports to leadership.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the foodservice or restaurant industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contracts and pricing.
- Expertise in vendor management, cost control, and supply chain optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field (preferred).
