Director of Rooms – Luxury Property
About the Role
An esteemed luxury property is seeking an experienced Director of Rooms to oversee all aspects of the Rooms Division, ensuring seamless operations and an unparalleled guest experience. This position plays a key role in maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency across multiple departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, and Public Areas.
The ideal candidate will bring a strategic and hands-on leadership approach, with the ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team while upholding the property’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Rooms Division, ensuring a flawless guest experience.
- Manage and develop departmental teams, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Laundry.
- Establish and maintain service and cleanliness standards that align with luxury hospitality expectations.
- Collaborate with department heads to enhance guest satisfaction, operational efficiencies, and cost controls.
- Implement training programs and performance development plans to ensure team success.
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules for guest rooms and public areas, maintaining the highest level of property aesthetics.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Sales teams to support revenue goals and occupancy strategies.
- Maintain strong interdepartmental communication, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative approach to operations.
- Monitor guest feedback, address concerns proactively, and continuously enhance the overall experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven leadership experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of rooms operations, including front office, housekeeping, laundry, and public area management.
- Ability to drive service excellence while managing departmental budgets and cost controls.
- A dynamic leader with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of operational efficiencies and guest experience enhancements.
- Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

Andy Bhikhari is a business operations specialist with 10+ years of experience in problem-solving to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Andy is adept at developing standard operating processes, coordinating KPIs and metrics, applying technology and automation, and building meaningful relationships. He’s excited to join his wife (Carolina Bhikhari) and the Gecko team in his new position as Franchise Partner.
Andy graduated from the University of South Florida with his B.S. in Industrial Engineering and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Prior to joining Gecko, his most recent role was Manager at KPMG, Advisory Operations. Andy has held roles in various industries which include raw materials, retail, pharmaceutical packaging, medical device technology, and advisory consulting. Now, he’s looking forward to learning about and contributing to the executive recruiting industry.
Andy resides in Orlando, FL with his wife and their two year old son, Benjie. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending automotive events, producing music, and is a self-proclaimed donut connoisseur.
