Our company is in search of a professional, customer-centric, organized Director of Sales who shares our commitment to outstanding food quality and service excellence.Our company’s distinctive dining and entertainment venues include a bistro with extraordinary Italian/American cuisine and wine; full service family entertainment; a year-round outdoor patio and fire pit; and event space/party rooms for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, anniversaries that will accommodate around 20-600 people! We currently have six locations, throughout the Midwest and our Company is quickly expanding with its seventh this fall in Chicago. Title of Position: Director of Sales

Job Description: Making certain all budget and financial projections are achieved, recruiting and retaining top quality management candidates, developing continuous training and development systems to enhance staff performance and delivery of customer service and ensure that appropriate staffing levels are achieved are some of the things we want our Director of Sales & Events to oversee. The Director of Sales & Events will also supervise procedures for the control of cash, property, product and equipment and conduct audits to guarantee compliance with labor and safety regulations. The Director of Sales & Events will act as a liaison between corporate and franchisees making certain all franchise restaurants preserve the standards of operation established by the corporate office.

  • The Director of Sales must have proven performance in growing sales, training and developing employees and controlling costs
  • The Director of Sales must have a minimum of 3 years’ Multi-Unit Management experience
  • A solid track record in achieving financial results is a must for the Director of Sales & Events 
  • The Director of Sales must be extremely guest oriented with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
  • The Director of Sales must have excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills

While Betty was in college, she worked in the Campus Dining Hall as a line server and at Golden Corral, also has a line server.  Prior to joining Gecko Hospitality, Betty was a Regional Management Recruiter for Carlson Restaurant Worldwide Inc. -TGI Fridays. Betty loves the excitement associated with the ever-changing hospitality industry.

Betty, her husband, 2 dogs – Barley and Tip, and 2 birds – Grey Bird and Yellow Bird, live on 4.5 acres on Buggs Island/Kerr Lake.  When Betty is not recruiting, she enjoys cooking, gardening, entertaining, and boating with her husband.
