Title of Position: Executive ChefÂ
Job Description: The Executive Chef will demonstrate leadership abilities by hiring, managing and guiding all Culinary Staff, as well as being responsible for creating a kitchen atmosphere that thrives on teamwork and welcomes constructive feedback. The most important part of this position is to ensure all dishes are served on time and will exceed our guest expectations. We will count on the talent of the Executive Chef to motivate their team, create remarkable cuisine and to be as devoted to excellence as we are. The Executive Chef will be expected to create new and creative dish ideas for our menu. The Executive Chef will have a say on each dish that goes out, to ensure true excellence. Â

- A solid track record is achieving financial results and controlling costs is a must for the Executive ChefÂ
- The Executive Chef must be passionate about and thrive on the development and mentoring of othersÂ
- High volume experience of 3+ years of experience as an Executive Chef is a must for this position Â

Matt Bodnar
Matt Bodnar began his career by quickly identifying himself has an up-and-coming Hospitality Operations Leader. From 2013 to 2018, he managed small and large-scale events on Yachts in New York Harbor, oversaw Concession-style service in a sports arena, and managed Food & Beverage at an upscale, boutique hotel in Manhattan, before moving to Philadelphia and entrenching himself in the Philly food scene. He switched gears into Talent Acquisition and recruiting, utilizing his operational experience to connect with and identify top talent in the industry. He is thrilled to be joining the Gecko Hospitality team, supporting the Restaurant Division in Eastern PA/DE.
