Job Description
- Lead the kitchen team in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and service.
- Develop and create innovative, seasonal menus that reflect the restaurant’s concept and enhance the guest experience.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health standards are consistently met and adhered to by all kitchen staff.
- Manage and mentor the culinary team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure a high level of performance and teamwork.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and dining area, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Control food costs and manage budgets, ensuring that the restaurant operates within financial parameters while maintaining high food quality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall guest experience.
- Keep up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and industry innovations to ensure the restaurant remains at the forefront of dining excellence.
- Handle and resolve any issues related to food quality, guest satisfaction, or team performance in a professional and timely manner.
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant or similar environment.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse culinary team.
- Expertise in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and innovation.
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
