Executive Chef - Luxury Resort

Sedona, AZ

$100,000 plus bonus and relocation assistance



We are looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury, award winning Resort. We are a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona, offering stunning views of the Red Rock Country and the Grand Canyon. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of cuisine and a passion for creating and executing exceptional menus. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurants culinary execution and working with the executive chef to ensure consistency in all areas of the commissary operation.


Job Description:

The Executive Chef is responsible for monitoring and ensuring that company culinary standards and operating procedures in all areas are well maintained. Primary responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of restaurants and bars culinary execution, assisting executive chef in many other areas. The Executive Chef has human resource, financial and administrative responsibilities as they pertain to his/her direct reports. In addition, s/he is also responsible for working closely with the executive chef to assure standards are being met in all other aspects of the commissary operation. The Executive Chef is expected to create innovative menus, maintain accurate costing for each item produced and purchase ingredients in order to maintain quality service levels at a reasonable cost.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a Senior Cook or equivalent experience as a Head Chef or Restaurant Manager/Supervisor;
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local health codes; food safety certificate preferred;
  • Strong leadership ability; excellent communication & customer service skills;
  • Proven success with menu development & staff management; creative problem solver; attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated & able to work independently with minimal supervision;
