The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the kitchen and food production. The Executive Chef may serve on the property’s executive committee. The Executive Chef will ensure guest satisfaction by effectively running the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and maintaining control of the standards for purchasing and receiving items. The Executive Chef will need to create recipes and production methods, compile new banquet menus, and inspect all food service functions during service to ensure that the correct standards are maintained. The Executive Chef will need to maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international market trends. The Executive Chef will lead and develop the careers of the culinary staff and assist in the promotion of in-house sales activities, such as banquets, and chef specialties.

· The Executive Chef should have a minimum of three years of experience. Ownership or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
