The Head Housekeeper will supervise the cleanliness and appearance of our property. He/She will ensure all personnel performing housekeeping operations are maintaining our high standards of room maintenance and carrying out their assigned tasks. The Head Housekeeper is responsible for all housekeeping supplies, linens, equipment, and handling housekeeping issues as they arise. He/She will be in charge of hiring and training hourly personnel along with checking up on the quality of their work. This individual will handle any complaints guests might have in regards to Housekeeping service. Inspecting each room daily to ensure cleanliness standards are being upheld is an essential part of the Head Housekeeper position. The Head Housekeeper will supervise the storage area and linen rooms along with ensuring they are properly stocked with needed items.
- Must have previous experience in a housekeeping managerial role in a hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of hotel equipment
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse staff with positive motivation
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills

Marty started in the business very young and from the ground up. Dishwashing at the local diner was his way of financing his many travels. Since then Marty has worked for Bennigan's, The Office and Charlie Brown's, TGI Friday's and Applebee's as a General Manager, Training General Manager and a District Manager. Marty also worked as a Food Service Manager for Genuardi Family Markets, a division of Safeway and was a guest speaker at the National Home Meal Replacement Seminar.
After many years on the road, Marty and his wife, Jill, settled in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they are enjoying the life of empty nesters. Their son, Jacob, works for Marty and handles the states of Arkansas and Delaware. Daughter, Dayna, has joined as a recruiter assistant for Colorado.
Now that he has made his final career change Marty has much more time to devote to his many activities with synagogue and choir. He is a lifetime Red Cross Blood Donor (over 60 pints donated so far) and regularly volunteers his cooking skills for charitable events.
