General Manager - Upscale Casual Dining Operations
Location: Carlsbad, California
Overview:
A renowned upscale casual dining establishment located in the heart of Carlsbad is in search of a dedicated and experienced General Manager. The chosen candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing comprehensive operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences in line with the brand's distinguished reputation.
Salary:
Up to $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus a competitive bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure consistent delivery of top-notch guest experiences.
Maintain the brand's high standards for quality and service, ensuring alignment with established protocols and procedures.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Manage staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
Financial Stewardship:
Monitor and manage restaurant financial objectives, including sales goals, budgeting, and cost control measures.
Evaluate and analyze sales data to drive profitability and operational efficiencies.
Guest Relations:
Foster a guest-centric culture, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution of any concerns or feedback.
Implement strategies to increase repeat patronage and grow customer loyalty.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Monitor all aspects of the restaurant to guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement growth strategies and initiatives.
Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Local Engagement & Networking:
Build and nurture relationships with local businesses, community groups, and other relevant stakeholders to boost the restaurant's profile in the community.
Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote special events and offers.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is an asset.
A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in the upscale casual dining sector.
Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and achieving financial targets.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
