Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per annum plus bonuses and benefits

Job Description:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our café in La Jolla. This role requires strong leadership, passion for quality coffee, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the café to ensure smooth functioning and a high level of customer satisfaction
- Lead, coach, and develop café team to perform their roles effectively and create a positive, inclusive working environment
- Drive sales and profitability of the café by delivering quality products and superior customer service
- Implement and maintain high standards for coffee brewing and presentation
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and café cleanliness
- Maintain inventory levels and manage supplier relationships
- Develop and implement innovative strategies for marketing and customer engagement
- Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring issues are resolved to their satisfaction
- Prepare reports on café performance for senior management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the café or restaurant industry
- Passion for coffee and knowledge of third-wave coffee trends
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in managing operational costs, financial planning, and budgeting
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and food service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Lucas is a devoted family man and spends most of his free time with his wife Ashley, and his two sons – Callum and Liam, and daughter Presley. He enjoys football, boating, basketball, hiking and fantasy sports!
