Job Description: General Manager - Mast Farm Inn
Position Overview
The Mast Farm Inn is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to oversee all facets of our establishment, with a strong emphasis on managing and elevating our event venue operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospitality management, event planning, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted at the Mast Farm Inn, including weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. Ensure all events run smoothly and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated hospitality professionals. Foster a positive work environment and encourage continuous professional development.
- Customer Relations: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues promptly. Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of the event venue operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost management.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures to enhance productivity and service quality. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Marketing and Business Development: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the event venue and develop strategies to attract new business. Participate in community events and networking to raise the profile of the Mast Farm Inn.
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and presentation of the event spaces, ensuring they are always in pristine condition and prepared for guests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management, with at least 2 years in an event management role.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
