Title of Position – General Manager
Job Description: The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and be Hands-on. We want someone who is willing to lead by example and be a part of the team, no just give orders. This includes Food orders, inventory, scheduling, delegating, coaching and upselling. The General Restaurant Manager will be responsible for managing the revenue with the goal being to exceed budget and preserve cost-effectiveness and profitability in agreement with company policies. The General Manager will be required to prepare monthly reports. A large part of being a good leader and better General Manager is the ability to build an outstanding team around you, hiring, mentoring, and guiding the team to achieve success both personally and professionally. This person will have a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience. The position is hourly and may also earn additional revenue through combined tips.

Position Responsibilities
  • Ensures prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines
  • Directs overall activities and performance of staff
  • Handles verbal and written guest complaints immediately
  • Assures the compliance with the local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Ensures maintenance of restaurant cleanliness and sanitation according to company guidelines and government standards
  • Completes daily reports and documents on a timely basis
  • Schedules staffing in an effective manner ensuring sales volume and service levels
  • Ensures the adherence of all cash handling procedures
  • Directs hiring, assignment, training, motivation, evaluation, promotions, and discipline of restaurant personnel
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government
  • Communicates effectively with other management staff
  • Keeps up to date with all relative computer application, forms, and spreadsheets
  • Completes all other assigned duties and responsibilities

 

Skills and Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 years of management and/or leadership experience required (service industry preferred)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must provide proof upon hire of legal status to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain deadlines and prioritize while running an effective shift
