Hospitality Business Development Specialist – Minnesota & Wisconsin


As a hospitality business development specialist, you will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts, leveraging your expertise to identify and pursue new business opportunities via Indeed, Hospitality Online, LinkedIn, HCareers and any and all other job posting platforms. Your role will involve building strategic partnerships, and securing interest in our services primarily through 50-75 phone solicitation calls per day and email and text as a secondary method.


Compensation: $60k to $80k annually.


This is a 100% commission-based position with a hybrid work schedule out of Wyandotte, MI. (3 days in office, 2 days remote)


Key Responsibilities:


·        Identify and engage with potential clients in the hospitality, private club, country club, 55+ retirement communities, airline food service, private estates and community management industry, showcasing our firm's expertise and value proposition.

·        Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their staffing needs and providing tailored solutions.

·        Create and build a strong brand presence on LinkedIn, through continuous networking, connections and posts for the Minnesota & Wisconsin market within Gecko Hospitality.

·        Track, measure, and report on business development activities on a weekly basis demonstrating the impact of your efforts on revenue growth and market penetration.


Requirements:


·        Proven experience in business development or sales within the hospitality/club industry, with a strong network of industry contacts.

·        Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a consultative approach to understanding client needs and delivering solutions.

·        A results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding business targets.

·        Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, its challenges, and opportunities for talent acquisition and management placements

Michael has a passion for the hospitality industry.  His career spans over 17 years in which he has held leadership positions in hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants and country clubs.  Michael started working in restaurants in high school and quickly discovered his love for food and the dining experience.  Upon graduating from The Culinary Institute of America with a degree in culinary arts and hospitality management, he began his journey into front of the house management where he has held positions of department manager, operations manager and general manager.  Michael believes that a great deal of his success comes from his ability to connect with people, understand cultures and create strong relationships.
