Title of Position: Human Resource Specialist
Job Description: As a Human Resource Specialist at our Upscale Casual restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our team. Your responsibilities will encompass recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees, ensuring their seamless integration into our company as valuable assets. You will also be accountable for creating and maintaining employee schedules, managing payroll and benefits, and handling any employee relations matters with promptness and professionalism. Additionally, you will assist in formulating and implementing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Beyond these core responsibilities, as a Human Resource Specialist, you will have a diverse range of daily duties. These will include conducting interviews to select the most suitable candidates for our team, managing employee performance through regular evaluations, addressing employee grievances, and mediating conflicts when necessary. Lastly, you will collaborate with department managers to develop and implement comprehensive employee training programs aimed at enhancing skills and knowledge within the organization.

  • The Human Resource Specialist must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in HR, preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures, as well as state and federal employment laws is required for the Human Resource Specialist
  • The Human Resource Specialist must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment is required for the Human Resource Specialist
  • The Human Resource Specialist must have proficiency in HR software and systems.
