Human Resources Manager
Summary:
A renowned winery located in a prominent wine region offers a diverse range of amenities including tasting venues, eateries, pools, and event areas. Our team takes pride in delivering top-notch customer service amidst nature's beauty. We are on the hunt for a dedicated Human Resources Manager, responsible for guiding and leading our Human Resources functions in alignment with our fundamental values and business targets. This role, crucial in liaising with departments across three business units in California, will oversee a team of four HR professionals.
Position Status:
This is a salaried role in an establishment operating 24/7. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite and be available for calls during off-hours, encompassing evenings and weekends.
Compensation:
85K +, based on experience.

Experience and Qualifications:
A degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related. PHR or SPHR is a significant advantage.
A decade of HR management experience for a workforce of 300+; expertise in hospitality is a bonus.
Comprehensive understanding of state, federal, and California-specific employment laws.
Proficiency in managing legal issues related to employment, partnering with external legal counsel when necessary.
Experience in diverse HR tasks, from unemployment claims to designing HR processes.
Discretion in handling sensitive data.
Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are an advantage.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee all HR facets within the establishment.
Promote an inclusive environment grounded on organizational values.
Lead initiatives from recruitment to performance management.
Supervise benefits schemes.
Ensure complete adherence to labor laws.
Handle staff queries and complaints.
Conduct investigations.
Create and update HR documents and systems.
Collaborate with payroll and ensure accounting adherence.
Champion safety protocols.

Self-starter, poised to be a key management influencer.
Eloquent in group communications and training.
Analytical, with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Detail-centric, ensuring quality in a high-speed environment.
Skilled in MS Office, HRIS, and ATS tools.
Physically fit for tasks like lifting, standing for long durations, outdoor work in varying conditions, and repetitive lifting up to 25 pounds.

During high school, Lucas began his career as a busser and moved up the ranks and was a part of the managing team within three years while going to college.
