We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house operations at a vibrant and high-volume restaurant. The Kitchen Manager will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, staff supervision, and adherence to health and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation that aligns with established standards.
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Oversee scheduling and labor management to optimize productivity while controlling costs.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent availability of ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management to meet financial goals.
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance with all local and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain menu consistency and execute seasonal or special offerings.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve them quickly to minimize disruptions.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and coaching to team members.
- Uphold kitchen organization, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of equipment.
- 3+ years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse kitchen team.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, food costs, and labor costs.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
