Title of Position: Restaurant Kitchen Manager
Job Description: The Restaurant Kitchen Manager is responsible for delivering results in sales, profits, team members and guests, for supporting the restaurant and management team by making certain food is prepared and served to standard. The Restaurant Kitchen Manager must have the ability to multi-task while managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant such as inventory, people, hiring, training and development, and P&L management. The Restaurant Kitchen Manager will provide direction and coaching for all BOH team members including food preparation, production, and safety and sanitation, will complete all BOH performance evaluations as well as write the weekly schedule and will coordinate training and ongoing development of BOH team members. The Restaurant Kitchen Manager in this position will order all supplies for the restaurant and will ensure proper staffing levels by recruiting, interviewing and hiring talented team members.

- 2-3 years of current Full Service Restaurant Kitchen/BOH Manager experience
- High volume background; must have KM experience in restaurants doing over $2 million in sales
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Hands-on experience hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
- Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
- Restaurant Kitchen Manager candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)

Kirsty Burton joined Gecko Hospitality in 2017. Her parents worked in hospitality when she was a child, so it was natural to follow them into the industry. She started her first job at 16 with a local restaurant and remained in restaurants and bars for several years. After moving into retail, it didn’t take long to get back behind the bar. Kirsty took on a Management role and after training, was promoted to manage the kitchen and the busy nightclub bar in the evenings.
After training, Kirsty moved into Relief Management and traveled to other locations to manage other pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. She was able to use her experiences and talents for roles in recruitment and development within various industries, over the past several years.
In her spare time, she loves traveling, making jewelry and has a passion for motorcycling.
