Job Title: Kitchen Manager
Location: Riverside, California
Salary: Up to $75,000 per annum, plus bonus and insurance benefits
We are an established diner in Riverside, CA, offering classic American cuisine to our patrons. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee and manage all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing kitchen teams, a passion for American diner food, and an unwavering commitment to food safety and quality.
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food and efficient service
Manage all kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance reviews
Develop and implement policies and procedures to uphold high standards of food safety, quality, and kitchen hygiene
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Control operational costs, implement strategies to reduce waste and improve kitchen efficiency
Regularly review food quality, modify menus as necessary, and research new vendors when appropriate
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless front-of-house and back-of-house operations
Address and resolve any food quality or service complaints swiftly and professionally
Report on kitchen performance, including staff performance, food costs, and inventory levels, to senior management
Minimum of 5 years of kitchen management experience in a restaurant
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Passion for and knowledge of classic American diner food
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
