Title of Position: General Manager
Job Responsibilities: The General Manager maintains responsibility for the successful and lucrative operation of the hotel. This General Manager oversees and manages the business unit's overall financial performance including but not limited to: Revenue Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Handling and Purchasing and communicates with corporate support staff as needed. The General Manager must exercise independent judgment and model the standard in the day-to-day performance of job duties. The General Manager must also ensure that company policies and procedures including safety, security and health requirements are implemented and maintained in a consistent manner. The General Manager ensures compliance with franchise agreements through regular inspections of the quality and service programs, franchise required reports are accurate filed on time, new standards and capital needs are addressed and the guest relations cases are answered in a timely manner. The General Manager monitors the recruitment, hiring, training, development and orientation of all employees as well as oversees employee relations and provides superb leadership for all staff members.
