Title of Position: Maître D of Events
Job Description: As the Maître D of Events, you will have the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution at our upscale dining location in Staten Island, NY. This includes coordinating with clients to fully understand their needs and preferences, crafting detailed event proposals, and effectively managing budgets and timelines. Working closely with our culinary team, you will collaborate on designing custom menus that exemplify the highest standards of quality and presentation. On the day of each event, your role will involve supervising the entire team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service. Additionally, you will be entrusted with cultivating and sustaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the finest resources for our events. As the Maître D of Events, you will also be responsible for leading pre-event meetings to align the team on the unique requirements of each occasion. This will involve briefing our staff on the event's itinerary, expected guest count, and any special requests to ensure a coordinated approach. Furthermore, you will be tasked with conducting post-event follow-ups to gather valuable client feedback, assess team performance, and continuously enhance our event execution strategies.

  1. The Maître D of Events must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in event management, preferably in a high-end dining setting.
  2. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills is required for the Maître D of Events
  3. The Maître D of Events must have strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations during events is a must for the Maître D of Events
  5. The Maître D of Events must have knowledge of budget management and negotiation with vendors.
