Job Overview:

Gecko Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager of Nightlife to oversee the operations, guest experience, and financial performance of an upscale nightlife venue in Dallas, TX. This role is essential in creating an exceptional atmosphere while leading a high-performing team, managing membership services, and driving revenue growth. The General Manager of Nightlife will work closely with senior leadership to uphold brand standards, execute exclusive events, and maintain a premier hospitality environment.


Key Responsibilities of the Nightlife General Manager

  • Nightlife Operations & Membership Management: Oversee daily venue operations, ensuring a smooth and high-energy atmosphere. Manage guest and membership experiences, including reservations, VIP services, and entry processes. Implement and maintain CRM systems for accurate membership data and reporting. Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and health regulations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing FOH team, including bar staff, VIP hosts, and security. Provide coaching and performance feedback to foster a culture of professionalism and hospitality. Lead by example in delivering exceptional service while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Event Programming & Execution: Conceptualize, plan, and execute members-only events, VIP experiences, and private bookings. Collaborate with the Event Sales Manager, culinary team, and bar program to deliver flawless events. Develop innovative nightlife programming to enhance guest engagement and brand reputation.
  • Financial Management & Revenue Growth: Oversee budgeting, P&L management, and forecasting to drive profitability. Implement revenue strategies to maximize membership sales, private event bookings, and beverage program profitability. Optimize labor, inventory, and operational costs while maintaining quality service.
  • Guest & Membership Engagement: Act as an ambassador for the venue, fostering strong relationships with members, VIP guests, and key stakeholders. Handle member inquiries and feedback professionally to ensure a first-class experience. Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to develop promotional initiatives and brand messaging.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise Bar Managers, Bartenders, VIP Hosts, Membership Coordinators, and Security. Collaborate with the Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager to maintain food quality and safety standards. Work closely with the Event Sales Manager and Marketing team to execute private events and member programming.


What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nightlife, hospitality, or upscale venue management.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams in a high-energy environment.
  • Financial expertise in budgeting, P&L management, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Experience with guest relations, reservations, and membership management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, event management software, and POS tools.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
