Overnight Manager - Resort Property


We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful Overnight Manager to oversee resort operations during overnight shifts. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations across key departments, including Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Finance. Acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD), you will be responsible for maintaining high service standards, supporting team members, resolving issues, and creating exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities


Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise all resort operations during overnight hours.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergencies, operational issues, and guest concerns.
  • Perform routine resort walks and facility checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and service quality.

Guest Services Excellence:

  • Maintain consistent open communication with staff and contractors for optimal guest service delivery.
  • Review and prepare for next-day VIP arrivals, ensuring accurate room assignments, amenity requests, and guest information updates.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries, requests, or complaints.

Team Leadership:

  • Motivate team members to foster a positive work environment and ensure high performance.
  • Support and oversee nightly operations of the Front Desk, Guest Services, Maintenance, and Housekeeping teams.
  • Conduct overnight team briefings or stand-up meetings when required.

Night Audit and Financial Oversight:

  • Execute nightly financial audit processes and reconcile transactions, ensuring compliance with policies and accuracy of data.
  • Secure resort facilities and support preparation of end-of-day reports for the Finance department.

Housekeeping and Inventory:

  • Participate in housekeeping operations as necessary, including room inspections and maintaining public area cleanliness.
  • Oversee ordering and inventory management for housekeeping supplies and retail shop stock, maintaining par levels in line with monthly budgets.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required; college-level accounting classes preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Previous customer service experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic and comfortable working with multiple systems.
  • Must be highly trustworthy and able to handle confidential information.
  • A strong enthusiasm for creating memorable guest experiences and team collaboration.


Compensation

Wage Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
