Title of Position: General Manager

Job Responsibilities: The General Manager will overall manage the day to day operations of the hotel to ensure efficient and profitable operation by performing the following duties personally or through members of the hotel team. The General Manager will ensure staff received proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedures, allocates funds, authorizes expenditures and develop the annual operating budget. Our GM will also inspect guest rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds ensuring overall cleanliness and appearance. He/she will handle and resolve all employee issues and conduct annual wage scale surveys, ensuring employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines. The GM will order supplies and equipment as needed and audit daily reports, as well as process monthly paperwork. Our GM will be required to oversee and ensure each guests satisfaction, while leading the rest of our team of hospitality professionals.

Qualifications:

  • The General Manager must have a degree in hospitality, business management or related field from an accredited college or university
  • The General Manager must have a minimum of five years related hands on experience and training within the hospitality industry
  • The General Manager must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages
  • The General Manager must also have knowledge of the full MS Suite software
  • The General Manager must possess leadership qualities and have strong communication skills
