Restaurant General Manager | Fine dining, Tasting Menu
Job Description
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including service standards, scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a diverse team of chefs, servers, and support staff to deliver excellent guest experiences.
- Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of hospitality and guest satisfaction, with a focus on personalized, fine dining experiences.
- Financial Management: Manage P&L, control expenses, and optimize revenue streams. Collaborate on marketing initiatives to boost business.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, ensuring that all dishes meet the restaurant’s brand and reputation.
- Korean Cuisine Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of Korean culinary traditions to enhance the authenticity of the menu, engage with chefs, and introduce new dishes or seasonal offerings.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, especially those providing Korean ingredients.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and local licensing regulations.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within a fine dining restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of Korean cuisine and culture is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and maintain excellent customer service standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluent in both English and Korean (preferred but not required).
- Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering memorable dining experiences.
