Job Title: General Manager – Fast-Casual Mexican Restaurant

Location: Palmdale, California

Pay Rate: $29-30 per hour (with potential for overtime)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our fast-casual restaurant that specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a proven track record of successful restaurant management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and a positive guest experience.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of employees, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor costs to maximize productivity.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory, control costs, and manage vendor relationships to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction, loyalty, and sales.
• Maintain quality control for all menu items and ensure consistency in food presentation.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and a family-like culture among staff.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, labor costs, and waste, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Coordinate with marketing efforts to promote the restaurant and engage with the local community.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing a restaurant, preferably in fast-casual or Mexican cuisine.
• Strong operational management skills, including cost control, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be ServSafe certified (or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire).
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both employees and guests.
• Experience managing restaurant financials, including budgets, sales reports, and P&L statements.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and potential overtime as needed.
