Our focus has been on maintaining food quality, and with many of our items made in house and from scratch, we’ve been able to deliver to our guests and expand throughout the area. Over the past few years, we’ve opened up more restaurants and have added catering options to our guests to enjoy our food at their larger gatherings. Title of Position - Restaurant General Manager
Job Description: The Restaurant General Manager maintains responsibility for the successful and lucrative operation of the restaurant. The maintenance of restaurant quality, consistently providing outstanding customer service to our guests and the leadership and development of team members are some of the functions of our Restaurant General Manager. The consistency of an environment of credibility, trust, respect and dignity must be maintained at all times. The Restaurant General Manager exercises independent judgment and models the standard in the day-to-day performance of job duties. The Restaurant General Manager must also ensure that company policies and procedures including safety, security and health requirements are implemented and maintained in a consistent manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years current experience as a Restaurant General Manager in a high volume (over $2m per year in sales) concept
  • Ability to increase sales and build rapport in the community
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
  • Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
  • Restaurant general manager candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)

Marty started in the business very young and from the ground up. Dishwashing at the local diner was his way of financing his many travels. As a Boy Scout, Marty traveled to Japan, Israel and across the United States twice before the age of 17. Since then Marty has worked for Bennigan's, The Office and Charlie Brown's, TGI Friday's and Applebee's as a General Manager, Training General Manager and a District Manager. Marty also worked as a Food Service Manager for Genuardi Family Markets, a division of Safeway and was a guest speaker at the National Home Meal Replacement Seminar.
After many years on the road, Marty and his wife, Jill, settled in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where they are enjoying the life of empty nesters. Their son, Jacob, works for Marty and handles the states of Arkansas and Delaware. Daughter, Dayna, has joined as a recruiter assistant for Colorado.

Now that he has made his final career change Marty has much more time to devote to his many activities with synagogue and choir. He is a lifetime Red Cross Blood Donor (over 60 pints donated so far) and regularly volunteers his cooking skills for charitable events.
