Position: Restaurant Recruiter
Job Description: We’re looking for a motivated, friendly self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities include identifying recruiting needs, posting job ads, interviewing candidates, verifying references, and collaborating with managers. Strong internet search skills, excellent communication, and adherence to protocol are essential.
The IDEAL candidate will live in one of the following states: UTAH, ARIZONA, MONTANA, WYOMING, NEVADA
The IDEAL candidate is someone who has:
- 3+ years of management or culinary recruiting experience.
- A high level of technology skills and is not afraid of learning new technology.
- Experience being on their computer / phone and conducting interviews 6-8 hours per day.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
This person must desire to mentor management applicants and impact lives daily.

Qualifications:
- The Restaurant Recruiter must have 3-5 years experience recruiting in the hospitality industry.
- Experience with ATS systems.
- The Restaurant Recruiter must have entrepreneurial ambition and desire to be in business for themselves.
- The Restaurant Recruiter must have the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
- The Restaurant Recruiter must have self-discipline and the ability to work independently.

Don Hutcheson joined Gecko Hospitality after spending over 30 years in executive leadership roles with industry leaders in the restaurant business. He has a proven track record of identifying, developing, and building high performing leadership teams. Most recently, Don was the Vice President of Operations for Panera Bread. Leading a team of over 3900 team members, managers, and directors.
Don started his restaurant career as an entry level assistant manager and quickly learned what it takes to advance up the management ranks. 13 months later, he was promoted to GM. Putting other people first and helping those around you shine has been a philosophy and practice that he has lived by for 30 years.
Don is excited to utilize his operational experience, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to match talented people with fulfilling careers. Don is married to his wife Jana and they both enjoy boating, beach, and golf.
