Title of Position - Restaurant Manager
Job Description:
  As our Restaurant Manager you must being a positive attitude to work every day and set high standards for your team members. The right candidate will be able to delegate with enthusiasm and a "can do" attitude. Interpersonal skills and guest relations will be required to handle and resolve any staff or guest conflicts effectively. The Restaurant Manager will know how to create a strong and effective team and guide them towards common goals. Additionally, the right candidate optimizes profits by controlling food, beverage and labor costs through a thorough knowledge of P&L management. Forecasting and preparing work schedules to meet operational needs, conducting meetings with staff, and upholding all opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of current Full Service Restaurant Manager experience
  • High volume experience; must have background managing restaurants doing over $3 million in sales per year
  • Craft beer knowledge a plus
  • Ability to increase sales and build rapport in the community
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
  • Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
  • Restaurant Manager candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)

Rob made the transition over to the recruiting side of the business with Gecko Hospitality in 2005.  Rob is responsible for the Southern California area for Gecko Hospitality.  When not working, Rob likes to spend as much time as possible being outside enjoying the lifestyle that Southern California offers, spending time with his 3 daughters. Rob is big MI State and Detroit sports fan.
