Title of Position: Restaurant Manager
Job Description:
Our Restaurant Manager will be held accountable for all daily functions of a single restaurant. Maintaining a positive and professional environment for the guests as well as staff will be equally important. As the Restaurant Manager, it will be necessary to lead by example and encourage your team to provide the best food quality and service to our guests at all times. Excellent communication skills are a must, as our Restaurant Manager will need to collect frequent feedback from guests to ensure the experience provided is meeting guest expectations as well as company standards. Ensuring compliance with state health, safety and security procedures as well as company policies will be a function of our Restaurant Manager as well. Working together with the management staff the Restaurant Manager will ensure a fully staffed restaurant and well-trained team will be consistently maintained. The General Manager will coach and develop the skills and abilities of the Restaurant Manager to aid in career development. It’ s important that the Restaurant Manager has a strong knowledge of cash handling, food safety, inventory, product ordering and exceptional leadership abilities in order to be successful.

Qualifications:

  •   The Restaurant Manager should make themselves available to the restaurant at all times
  •   The Restaurant Manager must be extremely guest orientated with the highest degree of honesty and integrity
  •   The ability to drive positive sales and raise guest counts is a must for the Restaurant Manager
  •   A true desire to mentor and develop others is a trait the Restaurant Manager must possess
  • Experience of 2+ years as a Restaurant Manager is a must for this position

Scott Lacy is the Gecko Hospitality Franchise Partner in Oklahoma and New Mexico. He brings almost 30 years of experience to the Hospitality Industry, starting at the age of 18 working as a chef for a small restaurant. Scott then began a 16-year career with Ryan's Family Steakhouse in 1995. When Ryan's was acquired by Buffet's Inc. in 2007 I was promoted to Area Director and worked overseeing 9 stores.

Scott strongly believe that the foundation of the Hospitality Industry is built on forming great relationships through honesty, trust and integrity. As a lifelong operator, he knows first-hand the daily challenges that restaurant managers face, the tremendous effort it takes to be a great manager and the importance of balancing work and personal life.
