We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager for a Full-Service Hotel in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

The Senior Sales Manager is accountable for handling the short and long-term planning, the day-to-day operations of the hotel sales department and training/coaching the sales staff. The Senior Sales Manager will assist with all revenue management decisions and be direct the overall solicitation and management efforts of the catering, rooms sales, and catering department. The majority of the Senior Sales Manager's concentration will be generating social and rooms business with the full understanding of all rooms and food & beverage practices.

Senior Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Sales Manager will produce a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections and outside field calls; with weekly documentation.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will contribute in weekly staff meetings and daily stand-up meetings.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will develop budget and marketing plans, work with operations managers on all up and coming functions, and assist in all operations in the execution of events when required.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will be fully knowledgeable of all property specific operational practices, proficient in all computer systems, and familiar with all paper flow and administrative needs. 

  • The Senior Sales Manager's responsibilities include selling both rooms, food, and beverage.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will take full ownership of all functions, including the processing of all payment destination.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will possess full knowledge and understanding of the company’s handbook, SOPs, and processes; adhere to and enforce those in a fair and consistent manner.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will provide disciplinary action when necessary, take immediate action on problems that are encountered in the hotel, promote teamwork and associate morale, and assist other leadership team members and/or managers when needed.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will resolve all service issues via written communication or phone calls to the complete satisfaction of hotel customers.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will participate in developing the hotel’s direct sales plan/pricing strategy and ensure group-meeting arrangements are completed and executed.

  • The Senior Sales Manager will review inventory control and selling strategy daily, ensure accounting policies are in place and perform hands-on duties as needed to deliver guest services.


The Senior Sales Manager Required Skills

  • Highly organized, with strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of profit and loss statements.

  • Ability to sell effectively/results driven.

  • Outstanding people skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and available for all shifts.

  • Willingness to participate in community-driven events, charities, chamber of commerce and other

    local organizations.

  • in sales, marketing or business and/or 3 years of related experience.

  • Proven track record in sales and RevPar growth.

  • Experience with a food and beverage background.

  • Excellent business and analytical skills.


55,000 - 65,000 base
