Title of Position: Sous Chef
Job Description: The Sous Chef will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our restaurant, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure high-quality food and service. Key responsibilities for this position include helping to plan and design menus, preparing and plating dishes with attention to detail, maintaining timely service standards, stepping in to lead food preparation when needed, problem-solving any issues that may arise, training and managing kitchen staff, ordering supplies, enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards, and maintaining a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers. As the Sous Chef, you will have a hands-on role in the kitchen and be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience every time. In addition to the key responsibilities listed above, the Sous Chef will also be responsible for overseeing and implementing inventory management procedures, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are stocked and organized efficiently. The Sous Chef will also collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items, keeping up-to-date with current culinary trends while maintaining our signature dishes.

Qualifications:
- The Sous Chef must have proven experience in a similar role
- Experience with a la carte operations and banquets are required for the Sous Chef
- The Sous Chef must understand various cooking methods, equipment, procedures, etc.
- The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is required for the Sous Chef
- The Sous Chef must have strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

Matt Bodnar began his career by quickly identifying himself has an up-and-coming Hospitality Operations Leader. From 2013 to 2018, he managed small and large-scale events on Yachts in New York Harbor, oversaw Concession-style service in a sports arena, and managed Food & Beverage at an upscale, boutique hotel in Manhattan, before moving to Philadelphia and entrenching himself in the Philly food scene.
